A humanitarian officer (or humanitarian affairs officer) coordinates and executes relief operations in emergency or crisis contexts, assesses the urgent needs of affected populations, facilitates the distribution of essential aid and services, ensures compliance with international humanitarian standards and principles, and liaises with government authorities, local partners, and non-governmental organizations to protect vulnerable communities.
