Job Vacancy Position: System Administrator Location: Erbil, Iraq Department: Information Technology (IT) - HQ Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced System Administrator to join our Information Technology Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing the bank's IT infrastructure, ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of all systems and services. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments. Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services. Manage virtualization platforms (VMware and/or Hyper-V). Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of critical services. Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions. Manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Entra ID (Azure AD), and related technologies. Install, configure, and maintain storage systems and server hardware. Apply security patches, software updates, and system hardening in accordance with cybersecurity best practices. Monitor system logs and respond to incidents, alerts, and security events. Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and server-related issues. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and operational procedures. Work closely with the Information Security team to ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in IT projects, infrastructure upgrades, and implementations. Provide technical support and guidance to internal users when required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university. Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of: Microsoft Windows Server Domain and Services. VMware or Hyper-V Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure AD) DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, and networking fundamentals Backup and disaster recovery solutions Storage technologies (SAN/NAS) System monitoring and performance optimization Understanding cybersecurity principles and IT infrastructure security. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in the banking or financial services sector is highly preferred. Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified, VMware VCP, or similar certifications will be considered an advantage. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
