Job Vacancy - Officer 📌 This position is open to local Region applicants only!!! United Refinery is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an HSE Officer to join our Base Refinery. We are looking for a motivated and responsible HSE professional who is interested in developing their career in Health, Safety & Environment within the oil & gas and refinery industry. Position Details Position: HSE Officer Number of Vacancies: 2 Location: Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq Screening Criteria (Important) This position is intended for candidates with a minimum of one (3 - 5) years of relevant HSE experience in an industrial, construction, oil & gas, or refinery environment. Applicants must meet the following criteria: Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant HSE work experience. Candidates with refinery, oil & gas, or industrial HSE experience will be given preference. Must be a Local Citizen of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Requirements Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline. English language proficiency (spoken and written) is mandatory. Candidates with experience, training, or certification in any of the following will have an advantage: Experience in refinery/oil & gas operations, preferably within a process plant environment. Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and process safety principles. Experience with HSE inspections, risk assessments, PTW, LOTO, confined space, and emergency response. Familiarity with hydrocarbon hazards, H₂S, fire & gas systems, and refinery operations. Good understanding of HSE procedures, incident reporting, and safety compliance. Relevant HSE qualifications such as NEBOSH/IOSH are preferred.
