🚨 Job Opening: Finance Specialist – Budgeting & Financial Reporting 📍 Location: Erbil 💼 Employment Type: Full-time 💰 Compensation: Competitive salary with a comprehensive benefits package Job Summary 📌 Job Purpose The Finance Specialist – Budgeting & Financial Reporting is responsible for supporting the organization's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. The role ensures accurate financial analysis, timely preparation of management reports, budget monitoring, and compliance with internal policies and financial regulations. The position plays a key role in providing financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. ✅ Key Responsibilities 📊 Budget Planning & Management Coordinate the annual budgeting process across departments. - Prepare consolidated annual budgets and periodic forecasts. - Review departmental budget submissions for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with organizational priorities. - Monitor budget utilization and identify variances against approved budgets. - Work closely with budget owners to explain financial performance and recommend corrective actions. - Support long-term financial planning and resource allocation exercises. 📈 Financial Reporting - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management. - Produce budget vs. actual expenditure reports and variance analyses. - Develop dashboards and financial performance summaries for leadership. - Ensure financial reports are accurate, timely, and comply with accounting standards and internal reporting requirements. - Assist in preparing reports for donors, auditors, government entities, or external stakeholders where applicable. 📋 Requirements: 🎓 Education - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. - Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA, CIMA, or equivalent) are considered an advantage. 💼 Experience - 5–7 years of experience in budgeting, financial reporting, financial analysis, or corporate finance. - Experience with ERP or financial management systems is preferred. - Experience preparing management reports and budgets in medium or large organizations. 🗣️ Language Fluent English (written and spoken). Kurdish (Sorani and/or Kurmanji) is highly preferred. Arabic is an advantage. 💻 Technical - Budget preparation and monitoring - Financial reporting - Variance analysis - Financial forecasting - Financial modeling - Cost analysis - Cash flow analysis - Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, XLOOKUP, dynamic formulas) - Financial ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar) - Power BI or other business intelligence tools - Understanding of accounting principles and financial controls 📩 Interested?
