Job Purpose: The HSE Patroller is responsible for ensuring adherence to company safety policies and procedures, identifying potential hazards, and promoting a culture of safety awareness. This role plays a vital part in safeguarding the well-being of personnel and preventing accidents and injuries at Ashur Brick’s facilities. Duties and Responsibilities: - Conduct routine patrols of all work areas to identify and report potential safety hazards, including unsafe work practices, environmental concerns, and non-compliance with regulations. - Monitor adherence to company safety policies and procedures, including using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). - Investigate safety incidents and near misses, document findings, and contribute to developing corrective actions. - Participate in safety inspections alongside regulatory authorities. - Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the company's safety program. - Educate employees on safety procedures, safe work practices, and emergency response protocols. - Respond to emergencies and accidents, provide initial assistance, and ensure proper notification procedures are followed. - Maintain accurate records of safety patrols, inspections, and incidents. - Contribute to continuously improving the company's safety culture by promoting safe work habits and open communication of safety concerns. - Perform any other tasks the HSE Supervisor directs that match the position's needs. Qualifications: - Working knowledge of HSE principles and best practices and understanding relevant Iraqi safety regulations and compliance requirements. - Basic first aid and CPR knowledge. - Valid Driver's License. Working conditions: Exposure to environmental conditions such as noise, dust, and fluctuating temperatures. Flexible schedule to accommodate safety patrol activities, including occasional overtime or weekend work. Physical requirements: - Physically fit to perform the role's duties, including walking, standing for extended periods, and climbing stairs. - Manual dexterity for performing safety-related tasks. - Visual acuity for inspecting and assessing safety conditions.
