VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Female Cashier (2 Vacancies) Reference No.: DDK-VA-2026-035 Position Title Female Cashier Department DDK Bakery Location DDK Bakery, Shahan Tower, Daniel Metran St., Duhok, Kurdistan Reports To Bakery Manager Employment Type Full-time Schedule PM Shift-based (4PM-12MIDNIGHT, including weekends and public holidays) Position Summary The Female Cashier at DDK Bakery is responsible for delivering accurate, efficient, and courteous checkout service while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, honesty, and customer care. This role supports a welcoming and family-friendly shopping environment in line with DDK Collection values. JOB DESCRIPTION – CASHIER Key Responsibilities Cash Handling & POS Operations Handle cash, credit/debit cards, vouchers, and electronic payments responsibly. Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policy. Perform cash drawer opening, closing, and shift reconciliation. Immediately report discrepancies or irregularities to the supervisor. Accurately process all customer transactions using the POS system. Customer Service Greet customers politely and maintain a friendly, respectful attitude. Provide clear and helpful responses to customer inquiries. Ensure a smooth and pleasant checkout experience for all customers. Handle minor customer concerns professionally and escalate when necessary. Operational Duties Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter at all times. Ensure availability of bags, receipt paper, and other cashier supplies. Assist with packing items carefully and hygienically. Support other bakery operations when required during slow periods. Compliance, Hygiene & Security Follow all DDK Bakery cash handling, loss prevention, and security procedures. Adhere strictly to hygiene, health, and safety standards. Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer-related information. Comply with uniform, grooming, and professional appearance standards. JOB PROFILE – Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience College Graduate. Good conversation skills – English, Arabic and Kurdish Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred. Experience in a bakery or similar retail operations is an advantage. Skills & Competencies Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail. Ability to operate POS systems and basic computer applications. Good communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle busy periods calmly. Personal Attributes Honest, reliable, and trustworthy. Polite, patient, and customer-oriented. Well-groomed with a professional appearance. Punctual and disciplined. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
