Job Title: Junior Accountant Reports to: Senior Accountant Supervises: N/A Location: 60 Meter Road, Mamostayan Qr., Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq About the Company : Medya Diagnostic Centre is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic services. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Finance team and support our growing operations Position Overview: The Junior Accountant will support daily financial operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist in billing, reporting, and reconciliation processes. The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within the finance team. Responsibilities, Duties, and Accountabilities: - Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including journal entries and general ledger updates - Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner - Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly - Support month-end and year-end closing activities - Assist in the preparation of internal financial reports and statements - Monitor outstanding balances and follow up where necessary - Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and accounting standards - Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation - Coordinate with billing and administrative teams to resolve discrepancies - Maintain organized and up-to-date financial filing systems (digital and physical) - Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant. Required Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: Education Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field Experience Minimum 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or healthcare environment Language: Fluency in Kurdish and English is required Arabic is an advantage - Work Hours 40 hours per week Unique requirements of the job: 1. Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail 2. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis) 3. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, etc.) 4. Experience with accounting software (e.g., Zoho or similar ERP systems) is an advantage 5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively 6. Proactive, self-motivated, and solution-oriented mindset 7. Strong organizational and documentation skills 8.
